24 Hour Late Night Dining in Boston

It used to be that when looking for a little late night sustenance in Boston your choices were limited to a couple of diners, some Chinatown restaurants and a few cafes in the North End.

Miel at the Intercontinental Hotel is Boston’s only upscale 24/7 dining option. The room is lovely, like dining at country house in the South of France.  The waterfront views from the dining room and the outdoor patio are spectacularly romantic. Miel means “honey” in French and is a featured ingredient in many of the dishes. The busy hotel restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner to a mostly business clientele during the day; but in the wee hours of the night, Miel caters to the young and hip.

The well -chosen late night menu is available from 2 a.m. - 5 am. The pissaladière is way better than any slice you will find at a late night pizza. And the Burger Trio is everything - mini lobster, tuna nicoise and Kobe beef burgers served with some excellent pommes frites.  The shareable Le Grand Monte Carlo ($120)  from the raw bar menu  is a giant pile of mussels, clams and oysters — and  late on a weekend night is ordered by  almost every table in the place.
