5-2 is Zoo-To-Do!

The “largest single-night non-medical fundraiser in the country” (as stated by the Audubon Nature Institute’s formal release in 2007) and “New Orleans’ premiere benefit event” (the 2008 release) is set to take place on Friday, May 2 this year.  Sponsored by Chase, this fancy shindig has tickets starting at $110 for members under the age of 30 and skyrockets from there.  Prices like that make it important for attendees to remember – it’s for a good cause!  Proceeds for this black tie event go towards making the spectacular Audubon Zoo and Aquarium of the Americas even more incredible.

Entertainment to be provided include performances by The Last Straws, Leah Chase, BRW, and VaVaVoom, with Morris Day and The Time headlining.  Lexus will be giving away a fully equipped car to the lucky vehicle raffle winner, and online and silent auctions will also make it possible to get really cool stuff.  There will also be 80 restaurant booths for the peckish and 35 beverage vendors for the thirsty.

The gala begins at 8 30 pm and goes on until midnight, so it’s going to be a sultry, romantic evening in the summer air – a great couples night out, in other words.
