Airport eating

First of all, what you should remember about St. Petersburg's Pulkovo airport, that it has two different terminals distanced from each other. They have no a constant shuttle link, so if you are in one of them, you have to do with eateries which are in. Pulkovo-1 is responsible for regular domestic lines and some international charter flights, Pulkovo-2 is for international regular lines and some international charter flights. The both terminals are not very large, you just need maybe 10 minutes as maximum to walk it around. Another notice that Pulkovo-2 is split into two different buildings that are separate, standing about 200 meters from each other - Arrival and Departure.

It happens so that the terminals prefer running world-wide famous restaurant brands, therefore you'll have no difficulties with identifying them!

Pulkovo-1 has a few eateries, and I would not dare choose for you, which of them the best is. First of all, I would note that Eurasia restaurant features Japanese and Uzbek cuisines. These are traditional sushi and miso-soups and Uzbek soups as well as meat dishes. Also Pulkovo-1 has two good coffee shops: Costa Coffee and Siberia's crown.

Another restaurant here is Il Patio, which I would prefer to others. Italian cuisine, well trained personnel and food of high quality. Salads in a range of  $5.5 - $12.8, for example, Ceasar, which consists of a wide selection of vegetables, sauces, fresh salads, appetizers prepared to authentic recipes ($7.12). Pizza, as you may guess, is the main dish at this restaurant. Margherita (270/390 g.) for $4.75/7: pizza with plum tomato sauce, whole milk Mozzarella, fresh basil & olive oil.  Neptuno (290/430 g.) for $7.1/9.5: Pizza with Mozzarella cheese, tuna, onion, Arucola, oregano and olive oil. Mare Italiano (370/530 g.) for $14.4/19.7: Mozzarella cheese, tomato sauce, shrimps, mussels, scallops, Cherry tomato, broccoli and Pesto. And many, many pizzas more!

Cream soup with seafood flavored with Italian liqueur costs here $7.7. They have a lot of grill too. Grilled chicken breast served with potatoes and special tomato sauce for $12, and grilled beef strip loin. Served with potatoes, special tomato sauce and lemon for $34.7.

At Pulkovo-2, where traffic is less than at Pulkovo-1, and much less space in Arrival and Departure, I would put my finger on... Friday's! It is in the Departure terminal. It's behind the border line, but I think you will reach it if you depart. If you arrive, it makes no sense for you to stay there for long time :)

I think you can imagine what a Friday's is, if you can't, I'll tell this is not a luxury restaurant, just simple American dishes such as pepper-crusted pork chop and chicken and sausages penne. People who went there advise not to go if you are not a great fan of cheesy Bacon Cheeseburger, topped with two kinds of cheese-mild American and gooey, golden-fried provolone, or  a California turkey burger, a well-seasoned turkey patty, on a whole-wheat bun. But quality was high, so about service and food everything there seems to be OK.

Another eatery at Pulkovo-2 is Shocoladnitsa, which I also covered in my post dated 20th of August.

Important: the US dollar and the Russian rubble are "dancing" in the ForEx market, going up and down, so keep in mind that the prices here are counted as 1 USD = 27.4 Rubbles.
