Bari Gelato

In the soaring humidity of a Miami August, mouths and tastebuds turn to something cold.  Even something icey and something smooth.  This adds up to the magic of gelato, and the reality of finding it in South Beach is simple enough if you're strolling along Lincoln Road.  Bari Gelato is also the real thing insofar as it's a genuine Argentine-Italian import gelateria (they love their gelato tradition in Buenos Aires) and not just an American take-off on an old world favorite.

Depending on your own long-time favorites in ice creams and your willingness to sample something new, there's a lot to savor and chill down with at Bari.  In fact, there's at least two dozen flavors of organic, all-natural ice cream to choose from. Among our own tasteful memories that will probably keep us coming back, whatever the weather and humidity is doing, is the white chocolate with walnuts.  Other sweet things that may knock your socks off long after you get back to walking along Lincoln Road, is the cheesecake.
