I'm an Indian girl living, loving and lost in Madrid -- I've been here over a year now. Here I write and rant for a handful of travel-blogs, and teach English to pay my rent. When I'm not trying to work, I'm normally at a bar eating tapas and drinking beer, or shaking it on some dance floor in the city.
I have previously lived in India, England, Dubai, Australia, and Valencia in Spain. All the cities I've lived in are awesome but Madrid takes the cake. I can be contacted at abha.malpani@gmail.com

Family things to do in Madrid and a confession
I'm not married and nor have I had family visit me in Madrid, so I've never really paid attention to what options families have if they come to the city. I'd recommend Retiro Park, the Zoo and Warner Brothers Park -- but other than that I really don't have a clue.
Then this list of family attractions was discovered I was both surprised and embarrassed -- both because I had no idea about 6 of the places mentioned on the list! (Yikes!) -- but come on...one can't know it all. Anyway -- here is the core list as recommended by the article -- which you can read in full here!
1. The zoo at Casa de Campo
2. The aquarium at Maestro Victoria
3. The Moncloa Lighthouse on Avenida de la Victoria
4. Minigolf Park at Montesa
5. Ferrocarril National Museum at Paseo de las Delicias
6. Colon Wax Museum at Paseo de Recoletos (as long as you don't compare this to London's Madam Tussauds, you will be able to stand it!)
7. The Planetarium at Parque Tierno Galván
8. Attractions Park at Casa de Campo (near the zoo)
9. Acciona Interactive Science Museum at Pintor Murillo
10. Aquapolis at Villanueva de la Cañada
11. Lagosur at Carretera de Toledo
12. Safari Madrid at Reserva el Rincón
Visit some of the links I've provided here and you will find MORE places to do things with your family -- enough to warrant a couple of visits to Madrid!
