Originally from Newcastle Australia, i have been wondering the streets, markets, beaches and noodle soup stalls of Vietnam for the past 7 years. Much of that time has been working as tour guide in Vietnam and also Cambodia and Thailand.
Now married, I live in Vietnam's capital city, Hanoi with my wife and son. My work includes photography, tour guiding and blogging!

If you love shopping, Hanoi is a great place to be! With bargins galore, the streets and lane ways of Vietnams Capital city offer a wide and varied selection of goods.
But sometimes you may rather pay a little more want to buy thats something special and something you can remember your trip with.
If that sounds like you then you should check out these two great shops.
Craft Link
You will find Craft Link at 42 Van Mieu Street. A not for profit organization, Craft Link has a huge array of goods for sale. Many of the items come from the North of Vietnam and have been made by Ethnic Minortiy groups. There are cloths good, woodedn, bamboo, clothing, hats, art, crafts and much more.
Not the cheapest place around, but the goods on slae are of a high quality and worth a few extra dollars.
Ipa- Nima
If handbags are your thing, you should know the name Ipa-Nima!
Located at 34 Han Thuyen Street, Ipa Nima is a world known brand with handbags of all sizes, shapes and designs. Dispite being world renowned, the cost of a new hand bag is not that expensive and the quality is second to none.
