IMAX Theatre Darling Harbour

My first experience at the IMAX was for Deep Sea 3D - a documentary about the under water marine life narrated by Russel Crowe and Kate Winslet. As a scuba diver, I didn't expect this experience to be any thing other than just a motion picture, so frowning at my $19 per adult ticket, I went in to the dark room with low expectations.

About half a minute into the film, I realise I was hooked. The IMAX Theatre, designed to give each and every viewer the best angle to experience the 3D experience, was just perfect for a documentary like this. The sound of the water, the movement of fish and every other marine life tickled my senses and soon I find myself holding onto my breath, as if I really believed I was in fact, under water.

IMAX Theatre Sydney claims to have the world's largest screen installed, and its films are specifically selected to ensure the contents of the film are suitable to give the audiences the best IMAX experience possible.

IMAX is great for all ages, and being in the centre of Darling Harbour, you are sure to be entertained for the rest of your day. Try ten pin bowling on level three of the Harbourside Shopping Centre, or indulge in a gelato or a good cup of coffee at one of the cafes just at the foot of the Theatre. It's a great day out for all.
