Keystone Winter Culinary Festival

  • News
  • Friday, March 06, 2009

High atop the Rocky Mountains is Keystone Ski Area.   Not a bad ski area in it's own right on any given weekend in March, this weekend features the Keystone Winter Culinary Festival.      The festival includes a Grand Tasting event at their mountaintop lodges which will be transformed into a "tasting lodge" for the event.   Other activiteis inclue martini tastings, wine tastings, and an ice carving demo.

There are also numerous discounts to be had at some of the restaurants in and around the Keystone Ski Area.  The program is called "Dine Out Keystone!" and many of them mimic the Denver Restaurant week price of $52.80.    Thankfully, they do not seem to price themselves at the equivalent penny per foot in altitudue.   In the case of Keystone, that would have to been $92.80 at the base and a whopping $119.80 at the summit.

Finally, there is a Sunday morning Champagne Brunch at 11,444ft.

Bon Apetit!
