Travel is my passion; and I have written dozens of articles about the various places that I have visited. My absolute favorite travel destination is Tuscany, the most “exotic” place that I have visited is Iran, and my dream vacation is Greece.

Last Weeks-Anish Kappor Show at the ICA
This summer (through September 7th) Boston's Institute of Contemporary Art, the Anish Kapoor retrospective "Past, Present and Future" brings together 13 of the artist's distinctive sculptures.
Anish Kapoor may be best known for his steel "Cloud Gate" public art installation at Millennium Park in Chicago, but this is the artist's biggest show in the U.S. in 15 years.
When you enter the West Gallery, you will first encounter S-Curve a double ribbon of steel that reflects visitors in a fun-house sort of way. One of the largest pieces in the room has the same name as the retrospective, "Past, Present and Future"; a half sphere covered in crimson wax seemingly rotates and is shaped against a curved plane that continually changes the piece. The wall-mounted pieces are exceptionally interesting. Approach "Brandy Wine" slowly- the concave polished red disc both flips and magnifies reflections. Is "When I am Pregnant" simply a bulge in the wall?
Be sure to see the ICA's 20-minute documentary video of Anish Kapoor and the creative art-making process behind the artist's work in the museum's Mediatheque Theatre, running continuously throughout the day.
