Lyons Classic Pinball and Video
As a child of the 70s and 80s, I was addicted to arcades. I would follow the token per dollar offers at local arcades like a Wall Street banker following his stocks. We even had our own pinball machine in our basement.
Then came the 90s with it's Nintendos, Playstations, and advanced PC games. If the arcade wasn't dead, it was certainly on life support. Sure you could play games in your living room, but just because you can also cook a piece of chicken in your kitchen, it doesn't mean that the world doesn't need restaurants.
Fortunately, there are one or two places left where you can still enjoy the bangs, buzzes, and dings of pinball and video games. In the town of Lyons, just north of Boulder, Lyons Classic Pinball is ready to take you back in time. They currently offer a list of 36 pinball games at their main arcade. Next door, in the basement of the Oskar Blues restaurant and brewery, they Lyons Classic Video offers some of the all time classics of early video games such as Asteroids, Frogger, and Galaga.
Bring a pocket full of quarters, because as we used to say in the 80's, its Awesome!
