Originally from a small town in upstate New York and most recently living in New York City, I transferred to Paris for work in April 2007. I'll admit it: I came to Paris convinced that no city could compare to New York. But little by little, day by day, Paris is winning my heart as I discover its beautiful art and architecture, its fabulous food and the unique attitude of its residents. I'll share these winning discoveries here.

Movies by Moonlight
Although the wonderful Cinema en plein air is finished for the year, there’s still one week left for outdoor movie viewing thanks to the Cinema au clair de la lune festival sponsored by the Forum des Images. Now in its 8th year, free films are projected (sometimes on the sides of buildings) in different locations throughout Paris on Thursday through Sunday evenings, starting at around 9:30pm. This year’s theme is a tour of Europe featuring films set in different European capitals, including this week’s program:
Thursday at Avenue de Breteuil in the 15th: Lisbonne Story;Friday at Parc Montsouris in the 13th: Max and Bobo;Saturday at Pelouse de Reuilly in the 12th: Goodbye, Lenin; andSunday at Place René-Cassin near Les Halles: Correspondant 17
Even if you’re not completely in denial about the fast-approaching end of summer like me, be sure to take advantage of these last few long warm evenings with a film by the light of the moon.
