TACO TIME! TACO TIME!

Three simple words will help you find some of the best tacos in the city: NICK'S CRISPY TACOS.

Although you may be surprised to learn that this Mexican restaurant is not in the Mission District, do not doubt Nick's legacy. Although this restaurant is perched up on Russian Hill, without a popsicle cart or piñata store in sight, take the trip for a memorable taco experience.

The interior of the restaurant/bar is bright red with dozens of bright and shining chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. Although the decor may seem swanky, order at the bar and grab a red velvet upholstered booth or sit at a communal table with colorful red and blue oilcloth. On the menu, you will find burritos and nachos and quesadillas, blah blah blah. Pay no attention. Keep your eyes on the prize and order a taco, Nick's way. Nick's way simply means that there is a hard shell taco inside the soft shell taco, with cheese and guacamole. I prefer the Carnitas, Nick's way, of course. Remember to bring cash as they do not accept credit cards. The tacos are tasty and rich, so make sure that you help yourself to some water, or tequila at the bar.
