Toronto Art: Signs of Life

Before the show ends on Sunday, try to drop by Loop Gallery to view Signs of Live; an intimate portrait of someone I don't know. The exhibition by Yvonne Singer, a Toronto-based artist and York University professor who has shown both nationally and internationally, uses political and personal artifacts to portray the artist's father's life.

Specifically, the show focuses on the post-WWII period and uses found documents like passports and visas used in occupied Europe with her father's own medication records, telling the story of a man who travelled from Hungary to Canada after the war.

This show is a great opportunity to experience true Canadian talent in a small, intimate setting.
