What To Do On Earth Day
Earth Day - The Day (or week) that we get inspired to live as green as possible, and celebrate our wonderful planet. Here is a list of some of the Earth Day festivities that are going on this week
Evergreen's Earth Day Festival will be held here on Sat Apr 26. Lots of music, and fun (exercise) to be had. It is recommended that you bring a waste free lunch - and if you have a reusable mug, Starbucks will be on hand to pour free coffees.
Don't forget your garden gloves, I suspect some planting might be expected of you.
Another Evergreen Earth Day Festival - this time in a really important venue. Everett Crowley Park was once Vancouver's landfill.
This is a place that needs care. Make sure you wear clothes that are ok to get dirty - because you will be working hard, and having loads of fun.
Family friendly entertainment will be there - as will the ever important presence of Starbucks -just in case you need a bit of a boost.
Drum circle, face painting, music performance, and bbq are all there to make your Earth Day fun. Proceeds go to the Richmond Food Bank
Walk through the city on Tues morning (Apr 22) for raising funds to provide residents of East Africa with clean water.
Walk starts downtown on Robson St, and ends up at City Hall
Since its Earth Week, why not go out to the farm and find the very freshest farm goodies available.
I understand there is a lot of good stuff there to taste.
