Wild Times in Colorado
I told you about the cyclist who hit a bear a few weeks ago, now I just read two other odd pieces of news today.
First, a hippopotamus has bitten a person at the Denver Zoo. A little known fact about hippos that I learned in Africa is that they are the continent's most dangerous creatures as they are responsible for more deaths than any other animal. However, hippos are vegitarians, when they attack they merely chew you up and spit you out! No word on if the hippo is on the loose or if it was literally biting the hand that feeds it.
If that wasn't scary enought, an African Lion has been seen roaming around El Paso county, 60 miles south of Denver, and 30 miles east of Colorado Springs.
Nevertheless, the recent spate of animal attacks has yet to spark a panic accross the state.
