Because the richness of our arts and crafts is simply irrefutable, A Arte da Terra is a commercial place dedicated - since it's creation in 1996 - to the most genuine national handicraft.
We have travelled through Portugal from end to end so that direct contact with craftsmen would let us feel and understand the people who have the skill to create pieces with history, feeling and soul, making a unique and original piece out of every piece. This sensitisation is precisely what we try to transmit to the public, sharing with them the stories behind every piece available at A Arte da Terra.
We do not sell regional articles, we sell traditions in selection of materials and crafts, trying to meet the comfort, design and quality requirements of today. A Arte da Terra and the craftsmen who create the examples of the traditional arts and crafts available in our shop also allow customers to make their own "creations" by ordering pieces in different materials such as iron, wood, stone or sandstone, without forgetting every kind of weaving and embroidery.
