Halifax Citadel National Historic Site

Category: Landmarks

Address: Sackville & Brunswick St

Description: The Halifax Citadel National Historic Site is one of the most popular attractions in Canada. Some people say it takes a full day just to see everything Citadel Hill has to offer. If you visit the Army Museum, you'll get to see "The Tides of History" as well as experience the day to day life of soldiers and their wives in the mid Victorian era. Of course there is much more to experience here than watch a movie, you can walk through the barracks, sit in an old classroom or take a peak at the communications exhibit. Guided tours are offered and special events are often a treat during the summertime. Fees and hours vary depending on the seasons, so make sure to call ahead for details. Wheelchair accessible
