"In a neighborhood replete with Italian spots, since 1999, La Grolla Ristorante distinguishes itself by serving knowing locals traditional and innovative dishes from Val d'Aosta, Italy's smallest region (nestled between France, Switzerland and the Piedmont). The cozy dining room is amber-hued, and accented with copper coffee warmers, grollas and grappa distillers. Its earthy alpine cuisine abounds with roasted and stewed meats and wild game, sausages, mushrooms, nuts, cream, cheeses, homemade fresh pasta and gourmet pizzas. While dishes like: Fonduta Alla Valdostana, Carbonada and roasted rabbit spice up the menu, the real kicker is the coffee service, featuring grappa-fortified espresso spiced with juniper berries, orange peel, and chopped pears served in the traditional grolla. A great wine list, nominated as the best, by ""The Wine Spectator"", with a lot of choices under $50, is offered along with our menu."
