Our cuisine is inspired by Korean and Japanese ingredients, philosophy and techniques. Namu means wood or tree in Korean, it is a reference to the beautiful cypress tree from golden gate park that has become our bar. It also means devotion or direction in Japanese Buddhism, to represent our devotion to nature and its bounty and inspiration to us in food and drink.Nam is the Lee brothers' first restaurant. Their family comes from a long line of restaurateurs and chefs. Please visit us at the happy belly food carts in golden gate park. Look out for the happy belly foods store featuring gourmet sandwiches, our famous housemade kimchee, ready to cook foods, ciao bella gelato and more! The owners: Dennis, Daniel and David Lee
