Like many other neighborhood festivals in Chicago, this fest, held the second weekend in August, gets its moxie not from the standard array of arts and crafts booths, but from those in attendance. Held in the center of the Boystown neighborhood, a commercial and residential center of Chicago's gay community, this street party draws from its surroundings. The event is probably as well-attended and enjoyed as the annual Gay Pride Parade. The crafts booths, three musical stages and food and beer booths help fest-goers party all day and into the night.
