Overview: "Room 21's history is as colorful as its decor... The building that houses this 5,000 square foot restaurant used to occupy Al Capone's biggest liquor warehouse and speakeasy. On June 13th 1930 Elliot Ness, with 15 federal agents later to become ""The Untouchables"", battered down the doors and impounded 200,000 gallons of illegal liquor. During excavation, the building was christened ""Room 21"" when owner/designer Jerry Kleiner serendipitously discovered a hidden escape tunnel built in the 30's leading into the restaurant. The door at the end of the tunnel was labeled Room 21..."
