Overview:
Contrary to popular conceptions and reasonable expectations, the people who drink and dance at the Standard occasionally experience "hunger." The Standard Restaurant is open 24/7 to cater to this strange, non-nose-rubbing… subset of their patrons. The interior is designed as a 1950s-esque diner, minus 5 or 6 inches from the waitresses' hemlines. The interior is painted yellow to emphasize mellowness and everything is really expensive. The food is so-so, perhaps as a reminder that you shouldn't be eating anyway. Outside the restaurant is the rest of the Standard, from the nightly live DJ in the lounge to the patio to the people who are waiting in line to go upstairs and be douchebags on the rooftop bar.
