The Q Café

Q Cafe and Community Center, a new and unique non-profit Cafe and community center in the Interbay area, embracing "Cafe, Community and Culture," celebrated its grand opening in November 2002. But unlike its many Seattle coffee business predecessors, this non-profit Cafe and organization is ready to pour something new and refreshing back into the community. Since officially opening its doors in November, 2002, QCD (Quest Community Development), a 501(c)(3) organization, has integrated its goals, visions and mission through the following: 1. Supporting artists and musicians by displaying local artists' work in the cafe and by operating as a music venue to showcase musicians' talents 2. Adopting local families by responding to their physical and emotional needs 3. Providing a resource center for the displaced and marginalized in our community 4. Implementing activities to help build "community" amongst neighbors 5. Helping raise funds for other non-profit organizations 6. Creating a space welcoming of families, with a special corner and playroom just for children, and finally, 7. Serving the best coffee in Seattle.

Espresso Vivace is a family owned business, founded in 1988 by the husband and wife team of David Schomer and Geneva Sullivan. The company charter is to research, develop, and promote caffe espresso as a culinary art. Naturally, in this pursuit we continually strive to source the highest quality coffee beans to create our two blends, Espresso Vita and Espresso Dolce. For espresso featuring our sweet roast only mild, low acid, coffea arabica can be used, with a bit of coffea robusta included for crema enhancement.

Café Darclée is a one-of-a-kind cozy European café located in Fisher Plaza, across from the Space Needle. A well crafted cuisine is based on rich flavors, simple and fresh ingredients. The large variety of delicious and indulgent French crêpes, superb wine and Champagne selection, rich Umbria coffee, fine tea and irresistible hot chocolate are harmoniously combined to offer guests an unforgettable experience. The warm and relaxing atmosphere created by nature-inspired patterns, theatrical lighting and glass art is a delight to the eye and soul. The simple and organic design, with natural materials in image as well as in physical form, creates a comfortable but visually and physically luxurious environment.

A desire to bring great espresso to Seattle was the catalyst behind their success. They began at the base of Queen Anne in 1995 and have since added four cafes and a roasterie, and have enjoyed growing with the community and honing our craft of creating quality coffee and service.
