My Favorite Restaurants
Traveling for business can get very tiresome after awhile with being away from family for extended periods of time and dealing with airports and flights delays. One benefit though is being able to experience some of the great restaurants around the world. Here are some of my favorites and I'll keep updating them as time goes on just in case anyone is following or just so I can recall them next time I'm back in town.

Jeff Suddaby, chef/owner of 3 Guys And a Stove has created a standard of outstanding food that sums up the words multi-level flavour, multi-level seasoning & lifestyle cooking. His diligent work in the 92-seat restaurant has been met with success as it moves into its 10th year with a flourish. The straightforward friendliness style of service from his staff complements the restaurant's décor, a mélange of upbeat yet relaxed Muskoka atmosphere. For cooler days both upstairs and the main floor enjoy the warmth and comfort of a fireplace. Warmer seasons enjoy air-conditioning or two outdoor covered patios. Jeff knows that running a successful restaurant is a constant work in progress and he is always working to bring about notable changes. His own private labeled food products are on display along with his exceptional cookbook, Who's Coming For Dinner. The wall above the open galley kitchen boasts of two big screens that continuously run episodes of his television cooking show, Who's Coming For Dinner, currently in it's sixth season. Jeff's awesome food offers great variety for vegetarians as well as meat and seafood lovers, the adventuresome or slightly more conservative guest. Signature dishes like Jeff's Curried Pumpkin & Sweet Potato Soup or his piece de resistance, White Chocolate Cheesecake warmed in phyllo pastry with Scottish honey & fresh strawberries are served year round and coming back each fall/winter are his renown piping hot stews and casseroles for those cooler days and nights. Each plate is presented with fresh herbs from Jeff's garden patch on the premises. Meals can be completed with a choice of Jeff's private labeled aromatic and intense, rich-flavoured coffee, an excellent steaming cup of tea from the Metropolitan Tea Company or a specialty hot drink like a Monte Cristo, Spanish or Irish coffee…a perfect finishing touch. Jeff takes pride with the quality of food and dining experience he provides for every person who walks through the door and welcomes you to come in, sit back, relax and do your mouth a flavour! 3 Guys and a Stove Hours of operation Fall, Winter & Spring Monday – Thursday: 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM Friday: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM Saturday: 10:00 AM – 11:00 PM Sunday: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM Saturday & Sunday 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM we are open for our Weekend Breakfast Skillet

Borchardt
Französische Strasse 47, 10117 Berlin, Germany
I'll start with a portion of snooty before having 'see me!' as a main course. Yes, this is known for tremendous attitude and as a place to go to be seen. Even the original restaurant that opened in the late-nineteenth… century (which was destroyed during the War) was a society snob and career politician hang-out. But that doesn't mean that the food isn't really worth it. The chocolate mousse cake is said to be among the best! [link]

Lou Mitchell's
565 W. Jackson Blvd., Chicago, IL, United States, 60661
Uncle Lou’s father started the family business in 1923, and then entered his son, Lou Mitchell. Enough fresh eggs have been cracked, made into omelettes, cooked in skillets and sold at Lou Mitchell’s to go side-by-side more than a few times around the world. And to think, it all started with one man’s dream in Chicago, Illinois. The man was “Uncle” Lou Mitchell. His graciousness, friendliness, hospitality and constant effort and attention to quality and excellence soon had the droves of hungry eager customers standing in line. The fun part of Lou Mitchell’s magic formula was added one day in 1958. Since that day, millions of donut holes to all and boxes of milk duds to the ladies and children have been given out. The news spread and patrons flocked from all around the world: England, France, Germany, Italy... Today Lou Mitchell’s is not only a Chicago institution, but also recognized nationally and internationally with endless accolades. Among the list are USA Today, American Way, newspapers, magazines, food critics, television. “It’s a must see place.” Located at the beginning of Route 66 at 565 W. Jackson Boulevard, Lou Mitchell’s has been host to many. Everyone from U.S. Presidents, Mayors, Governors, Senators, Representatives, athletes, coaches, authors, judges, lawyers, clergy, and stars of the stage and screen. It’s a time-honored whistle stop on the campaign trails of many elected officials. Additionally, the restaurant’s patrons have served many members of the media as a solid source on how Chicagoans really think and feel about a variety of issues. Uncle Lou taught us that excellence is a constant effort and that quality stands out. Entering our 86th year, it’s still a family affair continuing the traditions of Lou Mitchell’s by the Thanas Family. Thanks for coming.
