Sure, 1972 was the year the Canadian hockey team won the Summit Series against the Russians. But we at the Coast feel 1973 was truly the most monumental year of that decade. In ‘73, King of Donairs arrived in Halifax, introducing the donair to Canadians for the first time. Now there’s a moment worthy of a Heritage Minute. The K.O.D. sticks to its original recipe and offers up donairs that can satisfy anyone from the sort of hungry (0.25 pounds) to the I-haven’t-eaten-in-two-days hungry (a whopping full pound).
