Originally a travel tour guide by profession, I have led trips in 16 countries and seven languages, some of which I actually speak! A dramatic highway holdup of a group I was leading through Guatemala served as a sign from the universe that it was time for a change; eventually this evolved into writing full-time about travel.

I have been on the road, more or less, for the last 15 years and have been to over 60 countries by now; I call Toronto, Canada home (if anywhere is...)
