Everyone who knows me knows I have a bit of an espresso habit and that I love Starbuck's seeking them out whenever I travel. When I'm in Ottawa though my coffee of choice is at Planet Coffee. Great coffee and in-house baking makes it a great choice over the chain coffee shops nearby.

This is a great spot in a prime location in the market. Great buzz, great food and wine and the patio in summer is in a primo spot. They do a great Veal Parm treatment using a full bone in Veal Chop.

Thin Sliced Pizza and very traditional homestyle italian dishes. Trattatoria old style italian decor. Very busy with locals and tourists alike. Watch the drink charges. Espresso, wine reasonably priced but soft drinks way over the top.

Dinner/Food is ok but the whole place is a great building with a good vibe to hang out in for drinks and conversation

I had a chance while at the ifitt Enter 2009 to have a look at this hotel and I was very impressed. Situated in the WTC building it is a very modern boutique type hotel with a very hip look. A fully self service lobby with espresso and required food machines to boutique type New York boutique style rooms (but larger). Very cool furnishings and up to date technology, flat screen tv, free wireless everywhere and fantastic rates.

We were staying at the W Seattle downtown and after a day of meetings were looking for a steak place that has the quality of steak ala Morton's and Ruth Chris's but a little more ambiance. El Gaucho fit the bill. The staff and all is formal but it has a cool buzz and its not as dark or businessy as some of the more standard steakhouses. Thumbs up!
