Great breakfast spot that I visit often. If you're into honest good food in a cozy environment, this is the place to be. Get here early, it seems everyone else knows it's a great breakfast and lunch spot too!

So far so good. The mac and cheese wasn't bad, but I was disappointed that there was no 'sweet potato mash' available yet (wasn't done). Substituted for regular mashed potatoes - which were extremely filling, as all potatoes are. Will head back for further investigation of the sweet potatoes.

A beautiful hike around the reservoir on an extremely well maintained dirt path (courtesy of the Lions Club). With a big body of water, a few swamp areas and a decent amount of woodland surround, there will be a lot of birds in there.

Fantastic location for birding - it's within an hours drive of downtown Toronto, it's easily accessible and has an abundance of bird species - including chickadee, yellow rumped warbler, little gull, bonaparte's gull, wood ducks, cormorants, wrens, wood thursh, etc. With a huge marsh and decent walking trails through a variety of habitats, it's a great place to explore.

A huge space in a fantastic building, Dark Horse really has something going here. Apart from the great selection of caffeinated beverages, they've used recycled wood from bowling alleys for tables and counter tops, which fits well with the exposed brick and eccentric furnishings in the upper lounge area. What's not to like about this place?

Beautiful little cafe, complete with a fireplace for those cold winter days, lots of great coffee, pastries, sandwiches, and some amazing cookies.

The grilled cheese is pretty good, and the deep fried mac and cheese is an experience. Love the inside of this place.

A cozy bakery in an old building with fantastic old wood coffee counter. Backs on to a small lake, so the view as you drive in is spectacular. I love places like this. So much character.

New location opened in March 2009, after the Queen and John location closed late last year. Great selection of breads and quality ingredients. Each sandwich comes with a small salad. Great lunch for under $10. I suspect the lines will spill out onto Richmond by the time Summer rolls around.
